After manually ordering cards in a subdeck I find that they are not actually inserted in the order I wanted. When I go back to the subdeck I find that they have been reordered. It says in the options help that when you change the insertion order in deck options Anki will reorder the cards, but I haven’t done this deliberately and I don’t see how it can have happened accidentally, so what else might trigger reordering and how can I avoid it?
The only two things that should cause it are reviewing the cards, or changing the order in the deck options / moving the cards to a different deck with different options. Please retrace your steps, and keep an eye on the due numbers to see what action you’re taking is triggering the change.
