Limit search fields in duplicate search

Is there any way to limit the list of fields available when search for duplicates?

Or perhaps create custom duplicate searches that only look for duplicates in specific fields?

The image occlusion itself adds 4 mandatory extra fields. So even having a few notes of this type means that their fields are forever going to clutter the list and never ever be used.

There isn’t. That will always show as many fields as you have in your note types.
