Just show number of cards in a deck?

I don’t find the card information “New”, “Learning”, or “To Review” helpful.
I just want to see an integer of the number of cards in a deck.

Is there a way to display that value?

If you search for the deck in the Browse window – deck:DeckName – the top of the window will show you how many cards are in the deck.

AnkiDroid shows that in the overview screen. It was removed for “upstream compatibility” but had to be restored again due to popular demand. Anki might want to do something similar if demand is there.

@Danika_Dakika I want to see deck totals on the main screen where the other three values are, not in the browser.

@sorata where is this in AnkiDroid? because I only see the three values on the main deck screen, nothing with totals.

To be clear, I want to see deck and subdeck totals on the main screen. Is that possible?

Tap on those three numbers. AnkiDroid does this weird thing where the deck overview screen is only opened if you tap there, otherwise it opens the study screen.

I misunderstood, I thought you want to see them in the overview screen.

I guess something like this can be done if a pop-up is used though.

Thanks @sorata, that helps with using AnkiDroid. Is there anyway to do the same in the Windows application?

Nope, not in this way.

To get deck-by-deck total numbers of cards there, you’ll need an add-on. I suspect (but haven’t verified) that either one of the Enhance Main Window add-ons would be capable of doing that. For an overall total for your collection, take a look at the “more stats” add-ons (More Deck Stats, More Overview Stats) – YMMV based on how much “more” you want to see.

Enhance Main Window installed, it has the column I want. Was able to rearrange by dragging and dropping columns. You know of a way of removing some of these columns this plugin creates?
Didn’t see “More Deck Stats” add on, but I did find “Deck Stats” seems like it doesn’t work on the most resent version of Anki. Still need to look at Overview Stats.

For now Enhance Main Window works for what I need. Thank you for your help!

Yes, you can edit pretty much everything about it – see its Config in the Add-ons screen. GitHub - Arthur-Milchior/anki-enhance-main-window: Adds a lot of features to the main window, and to configure them
