Hello I have paid for Anki app for my iPad. I am using it for my USMLE exam. My decks has many pictures. I synced my anki from the laptop. Unfortunately, I don’t see any pictures on my anki. How to resolve this issue? I am frustrated. Please help. Thanks.
on anki desktop go to Tools -> Preferences
and see if Synchronize audio and images
is checked.
if it’s not, check it and sync. then sync on AnkiMobile, you should have images.
if it’s already checked, i don’t know what might have caused this as i have never used AnkiMobile.
Audio and pic is synced. Could you please tell me how can I install decs on my ipad direcly without syncing with my laptop
I have never used AnkiMobile. but on ankidroid, we just tap on .apkg file and it’ll get imported.

What worked for me was turning off my auto-lock on my phone and allowing anki mobile to run sync until the spinning wheel completely disappeared (took like an hour). I then had images on my mobile cards finally.
Of course I still can’t seem to sync mobile back to Ankiweb without re-uploading the entire deck so idk.
I’m using a popular premed deck for medical school that relies heavily on images. These images display perfectly on desktop and in Ankiweb, but refuse to download to Anki IOS despite having “sync images” selected. When I select “check media” in the app, it shows all the image files as missing.
Thanks for the reply. I was able to resolve the first issue by turning off auto lock on my phone and allowing the full sync to happen on my phone.
I then reviewed about 60 cards from the deck on my phone, and hit synchronize, at which point it tells me that the deck cannot be merged with Ankiweb, and I have to either re-download or re-upload the entire deck.
Media syncing is separate from the full upload/download step, so you won’t need to transfer the media again. Please see https://docs.ankiweb.net/#/syncing?id=conflicts
