Intervals Different Between Decks Using Same Settings

Hi everyone,

I have been using anki for months and used FSRS optimization to find settings that I greatly enjoy after beginning with Anking settings as a starting point. These setting have been great and I have used them across all of my different decks that I usually make but also with premade decks that I have applied my settings to as well.

Today I tried to import a premade deck and apply my settings to it, but for some reason it fails to use the intervals that every single other one of my decks uses. I reset the cards. I made sure not to import learning progress when initially importing.

I figured maybe it just didn’t save my settings when I set them to that deck. However, after setting it to my custom settings I close anki and re open the settings to see that its set to my custom settings, rather than default which is what the deck appears to be actually using. I’ve never encountered this and I’ve even checked to see if it affected a different pre-deck I recently imported. It is only affecting this deck.

Anyone know what’s going on/have a solution?

Thank you!

Thought it may help to add pictures of the settings I’m trying to apply to the deck. I’d provide a link to the deck but I don’t think I’m allowed.

Well looks like I figured it out. I didn’t realize that you had to specifically select “set for all subdecks”. Once I did that the problem was fixed.
