Hello, I’ve been experiencing an input error while on the desktop version of windows Anki. My keyboard shortcuts are set to the default 1, 2, 3, 4 for again, hard, good, easy. The issue is when I hit “2” from my keyboard it marks the card as “again” I initially noticed that cards I was marking as correct were showing back under my learning steps. This is consistently reproducible and the error doesn’t occur if I mouse click “Again” or use my Anki remote. I hope there’s a solution to this

Since the last few times things like this have been reported, it has turned out to be the similar causes –
- Have you checked the Card Info to see what grade was actually recorded?
- Are you certain you’re checking the Card Info for the right card – using
Previous Card Infofrom the study screen? - Have you checked your shortcuts in
Preferences > Reviewor are you just assuming they are set that way?
Hello Danika and ABDO, thanks for your help while I was following the trouble shooting Anki manual. I was able to narrow down the issue to the Scope Remote add on and then I realized they have a disclaimer that it has to be toggled to keyboard or remote (I never new this). When I’m not correctly toggled the the error is reproducible e.g. toggled to remote but I hit 2 on keyboard it registers as 1 but when I toggle to keyboard the inputs are as intended. Thank you! It was very frustrating and it was ruining my retention scores haha.
