Hi - I am trying to importing a deck into Anki desktop (Version 24.06.3 (d678e393)) from a csv file saved in the Unicode UTF 8 format. The deck has two columns, the first of which should be the front, the second of which should be the back.
When I upload the deck, both columns are appearing in the “front” card, separated by a comma. Help. What am I doing wrong?
Did you choose Comma as Field separator?

No, I just left it as it was (colon). I’ve changed it to comma now and it’s worked so thanks! However… why has that worked? Because in the csv the fields aren’t separated by commas.

.csv stands for Comma Separated Value. I guess you opened it in Excel. Excel shows it in its interface but when you save it, these interface settings are not saved. This is same file opened in excel and txt editor:
