I signed into my account on AnkiWeb and I found four decks that did not belong to me. I deleted them and created my own; however, after a day my boyfriend logged into his account on his computer and saw his four decks were deleted. I believe these were the decks I originally deleted but when I deleted it, it was under my account. I desperately need these decks back but do not know how to retrieve them. Neither of us have backups on our computers and neither of us are signed into the Anki app on the computer. @dae

That’s such a shame! So, your account is complete and fine, but boyfriend’s account is wiped out? @dae will be able to check the server-side backups the next time he’s online and he can tell you if there is a backup of boyfriend’s account and what date it would be from.
The one wrinkle will be that (presumably) boyfriend’s account uses boyfriend’s email address, and not yours. I don’t want you to unnecessarily post boyfriend’s whole email address here (on the internet forever). If the before-the-@ portion of his address is something unique enough to find, but not something personal (like his name) – you could post that much here. But if it’s more personal than that, dae will have an idea how to get that from you if he needs it.
My account was also wiped out but i had just made it, so there were barely any cards on there. On the other hand my boyfriend has had his account for over a year and had over a thousand cards he has been studying that he needs . I’m hoping it exists somewhere on the server.
Please have the person that wants their account restored post under their own account/email address, so I can verify they are the owner.
