Hey Anki learners!
I’m excited to share AnkiAIUtils: Mnemonics Helper, a lightweight CLI tool for quick mnemonic generation I made during medical school.
What it does:
- Takes a concept and finds semantically similar existing mnemonics.
- Generates multiple new mnemonic options using LLMs.
- Lets you choose from generated options with vim-style navigation.
- Automatically saves selected mnemonics for future reference.
Why I’m proud of it:
This tool has batshit insane potential to make brainstorming mnemonics faster and easier. It’s perfect for quick sessions when you need a memory hook on the fly.
How to try it:
Check out the GitHub repo for setup instructions and examples.
Call for help:
This is a free, open-source project, and I’d love to see it grow. If you’re a developer and want to help turn this into an Anki addon, let’s collaborate!
