I haven’t used Anki in a few months. Now I want to use it again and I saw that FSRS is out. I want to study a deck with about 2,500 cards. I found this in the tutorial on GitHub: “In Anki 24.06+, there is no minimum number of reviews required for optimization. Based on the number of reviews available, Anki will decide which parameters to optimize.” I use the newest version for Mac (24.11). Does this mean that I can click “optimize” after a couple of reviews and Anki will optimize the relevant parameters? And does this also mean, that I don’t need a specific number of reviews in order to be able to optimize the FSRS parameters?
I’m sorry, I’m very new to this, but I would appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance!
In older versions you needed at least 1000 reviews (across all cards within a given preset), but that is no longer the case.
I suggest reading the manual: Deck Options - Anki Manual
Thank you for your answer! So just to be clear: I can just enable FSRS and start doing my reviews? Does Anki automatically optimize the parameters along the way or do I have to click optimize every now and then?
