I have to restart my computer to start Anki

Hi,

I can open up Anki but then when I close it I have to restart my computer to be able to open it again. I click the icon and nothing happens. I am running Anki on Linux mint OS using the flatpak application. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Hi, make sure you use the up to date version from the Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/

It also happens to me but i kill the process from the system monitor. any fixes?

Thanks. I killed the process in the command line and it seem to be working for some reason now. If I encounter the problem again I will follow the troubleshooting steps. I was not able to download Anki to linux from the website, I had to download the flatpak from software manager instead.
