How to adjust the new card gather order?

I’m using V3 scheduler and would like the cards to show up in random order. I wanted to set it in the deck settings but got a message

With the V3 scheduler, it is better to leave this set to sequential, and adjust the new card gather order instead.

I’m confused. What specifically should I do? How to adjust the new card gather order?

Set it to Random notes or Random cards. The different options are explained in the tooltip that appears when you hover over the info icon.
