I’mstruggling to change the due count "New cards ignore review limit
" as it says “If adding 50 new cards each day, your review limit should be at least 500.” i want to keep the new card count at 50 but the due i want to limit it
The reason why it says “If adding X new cards each day, your review limit should be at least [10 times X],” is to adjust you to the expectation that you’ll have a daily study load about 8-10x your daily New limit – Deck Options - Anki Manual . So if you don’t want 500 cards coming due each day, you should start out with a lower daily New card limit.
It’s generally not a good idea to set a lower daily max limit because that doesn’t keep the cards from being due – it just hides them from you, so you can pretend they aren’t due! 
And while they sit there overdue and waiting to be studied, your memory of them fades, you are more likely to get them wrong, and your workload will increase more.
The easiest way to control your workload is by controlling your daily New limit – the flow of cards into your studying. So, what are your goals for that?
