Help! Images and Media not Loading at all

For some weird reason, images were loading just fine yesterday and now I wake up today to Anki incapable of loading any image or media.

Help!!! :slightly_frowning_face:

  • After syncing across all devices the problem has not been solved.
  • Pressing Check Media shows that ALL Media Files are for some odd reason all missing!!!
  • Checked Ankiweb, the images are also missing there all of the sudden!!
  • Automatic Backups also have this problem

Maybe the filenames of the pictures in the media folder don’t match the filenames of the pictures on the card for some reason?
If you look directly at the pictures in the media folder you may find something.
Tools → Check media → Check → View Files

I checked the files and I see the files gone for some reason. I gave my laptop for my friend to delete all picture files in an attempt to make space in my drive. What he did not know was that these pic files include my Anki pic files. SO I am restoring my pics from the recycle bin again and I will see if that has changed anything

Whoa, that’s terrible. Maybe AnkiWeb has user backups, so if media is missing, you can contact Danika_Dakika and they might be able to restore it. (but I don’t know if it is possible or not.)

Restoring from Recycling Bin seemed to do the trick :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thanks for the help
