GUI crash (2.1.52 on Mac M1) upon "Close" card edit dialog

Anki 2.1.52 crashes when closing the card edit dialog (Mac M1)

Description
Anki GUI crashes every time I click the Close button to finish editing a card using the Basic Quizlet Extended card type (created by 1362209126). Does not appear to affect all card types.

After crash, Activity Monitor shows Anki still running. Force quit dialog (⌘⌥Esc) does not show Anki running. App must be force quit in Activity Monitor before restarting.

Workaround
Dialog can be closed with mouse, using top left ⓧ button.

Does this issue persist with the newly released 2.1.53 version? (From the release notes: Possible fix for crashes on some machines when closing windows.)
