Clicking Ok in About Anki window on Mac causes Anki to crash

This is a bug on Anki 2.1.52 qt6. I’m using macos 12.3.1.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Anki
  2. Go to menu bar and click About Anki
  3. Click the Ok button in the bottom right corner of the About Anki window

Expected behavior:
The About Anki window closes but the main Anki window remains.

Observed behavior:
All Anki window closes and macos notifies the user that Anki has closed unexpectedly. Anki’s app signature also breaks (checked using Whatsyoursign).

I can’t seem to reproduce this on either an Apple Silicon Mac nor an older Intel one. What type of Mac is it?

It’s an intel MacBook Pro

Does it still happen if you change the video driver and then start Anki?

Yes, the crash does happen when using software rendering. I also updated to macos 12.4 and the crash still occurs.

Nope, 2.1.51-qt6 does not have this problem
