I read the anking video and read fsfr4anki tutorial. But I don’t understand how to integrate FSFR without breaking my workflow.
My Workflow :
Add card to anki
Hit again till I remember the information
Review the information 1 day later then finally graduate card on 3rd day.
FSFR does not allow graduating interval larger than a day. How can I make sure the card does not get scheduled often when I press “Again” many times (when I am learning new information) ?
I found potential solution but I did not understand what settings to change.
That comment is from 10 months ago, ignore it. I’m pretty sure that was before FSRS was integrated into Anki natively.
I would recommend not blindly press Again every time and instead use Again and Good (can add Hard and Easy too, if you want to). If you are scared of long Good and Easy intervals, increase desired retention, though that will make ALL intervals shorter, not only the first interval.
Personally, when I first review a card, I use all 4 buttons based on how familiar I am with this material and how easy it looks at first glance. If it looks easy at first glance or if I am already somewhat familiar with it, I press Good or Easy. If I’m not familiar with it or if it looks like something that’s going to be difficult to remember, I press Hard or Again.
No, I am talking about Graduating Interval in which learning card becomes review card.
Eg : Steps : 30m 1440m and Graduating Interval 3 days means I’ll see the card after 30m, after 1 day then after 3 days. If I answer good on 3rd day, it becomes review card.
I don’t press it blindly, if I know the answer, I press “Good” but I learn the material in Anki so there are difficult cards (the material itself is difficult) in which I have to press “Again” many times. Won’t pressing again many times affect the scheduling.
Also I forget the material after 2 or 3 days, that’s why I have graduating interval set to 3 days so I get familiar with the material before marking the card as mature.
