FSRS "Help Me Decide" - TypeError Load Failed

When trying out this feature I get an error message:

First time trying this out. Does someone know where the problem is?

Unfortunately I don’t know what the issue is, but I have the same issue. I get “TypeError: Load failed” when I click “simulate” on the desired retention simulator screen for any of my decks

@Ankiuser7 @Zza For now, try running this on desktop Anki instead.

I’d imagine that the problem might be the swift version of mediasrv.py not exposing the simulate_fsrs_workload endpoint but that is a complete guess.

Is there anyone who the graph does work for? I don’t have an IPhone and can’t check for myself.

Can confirm the issue on a new collection.

I’m also getting this issue on iOS, and I’m not near my PC to test it out. Any updates?

This is a known bug in the AnkiMobile app.

  • The problem is in the experimental “Help Me Decide” FSRS Desired Retention Simulator screen. When you press the “Simulate” button, a “TypeError: Load failed” error message appears and the graphs are not generated.
  • The bug was reported to the AnkiMobile team on November 10, 2025, and it is not yet fixed as of version 25.09.
  • I verified that the bug does not occur on the Mac desktop Anki app 25.09.2. When you press the “Simulate” button, the retention graphs are generated.
