Force keyboard to English to use shortcuts on other layouts)

Hey there,

Thanks for the great app. Do you know if I can force keyboard to English to use shortcuts on other layouts)? I have a Russian keyboard along with US English one on MacOS and when I use Anki and press E to edit a card for example, it does not work if I happen to have Rus layout on. However, forcing keyboard to English layout (or recognising keys typed in Russian) would let me use shortcuts regardless of layout.

I’m not sure there’s a way this issue can be fixed in Anki, but perhaps you could use an add-on to customize the shortcut keys to something else of your liking.

I think you misunderstood the issue. The issue is not the shortcuts themselves, but the fact the same key is registered as a different key in different layouts. Also, it only affects single key shortcuts, Cmd+Shift+A for example works as intended.
The only other macOS app to have this issue I can think of is Photoshop. MPV and Vivaldi on the other hand work fine with single key shortcuts regardless of the layout.
