Filtered Deck: Not Rescheduling Cards

I created a filtered deck for my physics tagged cards, making sure the “reschedule cards based on my answers in this deck” toggle was on.

I went through 50 of these new cards. After completing the deck I deleted it. However, after looking at the home deck for these cards, it appears these cards were not rescheduled.

I assumed my New Cards count for the home deck containing my physics cards would be reduced by 50. But it was not.

Why is this? Is this a bug? I looked this up several places including google, youtube, and the Anki manual but no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated <3. Thanks in advance!

Are you seeing the same 50 new cards that you learned today using the now deleted filtered deck?

You can also search in the browser for a new card that you know you studied today and check its info.

Where are you looking that you are seeing the number of New cards not change? Is it by searching in the Browse window – like tag:physics is:new? Or are you talking about the counters on the main Decks list?
