Card in filtered deck: scheduler not updated

Hi all,

sorry for the double message, thinking it’s a bug, I wanted to open on github but I was sent here.

here my issue.
I have a meta deck with 2 subdecks. each has 1500 cards (and so Metadeck has 3000). When I create a filtered deck with is:new (100), and I finish the filtered deck. the schedule of the card is not uptodate. I mean, the metadeck sill has 3000 new card.

What I would like (if I simplify the prb) is

  • day one: I have 3000 new cards (only blue). I create a filtered deck of 100, I study and at the end, I have 2900 new card and 100 due/review/red/green cards.
  • day 2 : I have 2900 new cards, I rebuild the filtered deck, I study, at the end, I have 2800 new cards and 200 red/green cards,
  • day 3, etc…

is it possible ? is it a bug ? I check the option, and i nn the filter option, I checked Reschedule cards based on my answers, but it chhange nothing.

I use flatpack anki
Version ⁨24.06.3 (d678e393)⁩
Python 3.9.18 Qt 6.6.2 PyQt 6.6.1

If you search in the browse screen is:new the same number of new cards always appear?

I tried this with one of my decks but it works for me. Can you try getting a screenshot of the card info of such a card? If the schedule didn’t change, no review log should appear there.

Do you have your metadeck set to a “daily limit” of 3000 New – or your subdecks set to a “daily limit” of 1500 New? That blue counter on the home page isn’t necessarily telling you how many New cards are in the decks. It’s telling you how many you can potentially study today.

If you think cards aren’t being updated, there are better ways to check that than the Decks-page counter. Search for introduced:1 to see the cards that were studied for the 1st time today. If those cards weren’t updated, they won’t show up there.

Hi, thanks.

Yes, I putted the preset cards to 9999 to check how anki works, and soI see how many new cards there is in the package (cards I never saw).

I will make test today, because seems I have a side effect depending the addon and computer used.

thanks
