My wife bought the app and in the description it does specify the app can be shared if family sharing is enabled.
The issue I have is that it will tell me the app is no longer shared with me and o have to purchase it. Wife has not change any settings neither have I. I have to delete the app and then reinstall and resync. How can I keep avoiding this process? I’m using a test prep that has cards using the Anki deck. Getting frustrated.

Family sharing and app downloads are handled by Apple - they do not give developers any control over the process I’m afraid. If problems persist, I’d recommend contacting them for assistance: https://support.apple.com/
