Error syncing media

I can’t seem to get media to sync at all between any of my devices. Everything else will sync to AnkiWeb and AnkiDroid, but images do not make it through somehow.

Regardless of which add-ons I use, if any, I always get the same error after syncing:

I have completely disabled my firewall and am not using a VPN, but the problem persists. I have also tried multiple different networks and hotspots. None of these troubleshooting steps make a difference.

Any help would be welcome.

What’s your Anki version? 25.07 has changes that can cause/fix network errors for some users.

I just checked, and I can confirm that it is 25.07. Is there a fix for this in the current version? Or should I downgrade?

Is there a specific version I should use? I downgraded to 24.11, but the issue remains

I have now tried 5 different versions, ensured that no proxy is actively being used, and consistently get a variant of the same error upon syncing. The outcome is also the same: Ankiweb receives all changes except for media.

Double check your Preferences > Syncing – make sure you have “Synchronize audio and images too” and “Periodically sync media” checked.

You can also try running Anki from the command prompt to see if you get additional information when sync fails.
