Hello,
I am having a persistent AnkiWeb syncing issue related to email confirmation.
My Anki Desktop always shows this error when syncing:
“Syncing failed, because your email address needs to be (re)confirmed.”
Important details:
- I am using the same email address throughout and did NOT change it.
- I received the confirmation email and confirmed it successfully.
- I can log in to AnkiWeb without any problem.
- After confirming, no new confirmation emails are sent anymore.
What I have already tried:
- Updated Anki to the latest version (25.09.2).
- Logged out and logged back in to AnkiWeb.
- Created multiple new clean profiles using Profile Manager.
- Deleted old profiles and local Anki data.
- Disabled all add-ons.
- Started Anki with Shift to avoid add-ons and auto-sync.
- Tried syncing from different fresh profiles.
- Reinstalled Anki.
Despite all these steps, Anki Desktop still insists that my email needs reconfirmation and always references the same email address.
This appears to be an account-side issue where the email confirmation status is stuck on the server.
Could you please manually reset or confirm my AnkiWeb account so syncing can work?
