Not able to download anki for my phone. It’s showing some sort of Android error.
This is probably Google blocking AnkiDroid until they get an update out. They are hopefully not far off at this point, and in the mean time you should be able to sideload the app after downloading it from their GitHub page.

May I ask if the option for entering the beta program is shown on the app page? If available, this could be an alternative to downloading from GitHub.
