Hi!
Why can’t the Image Occlusion note type be deleted? It’s always recreated on restart. I don’t know how popular it is to deserve this special status, but I imagine quite a few users like me will never use it. I guess it’s because the HTML and CSS in it is hard for users to add back manually if they delete it by accident?
It would be nice to be able to delete it permanently somehow though (just to have a cleaner note type overview).

Are you asking about the default built-in Image Occlusion note type, or the add-on Image Occlusion Enhanced note type? I haven’t had any trouble deleting the default/built-in IO note type – and having it stay deleted.
The built-in one. How strange, I’ve deleted it a bunch of times in the past but it has always returned for me. I tested it now again and it is not recreated immediately on Anki restart as I wrote apparantly. I don’t know what triggers it then, but I’m sure I’ve deleted the note type several times and been annoyed with it always returning.
I should have tried it one more time before writing this thread I guess, sorry about that. I’ll wait and see if/when it returns for me again after this time.
Might have something to do with sync so keep a watch on that too!

It should also already be fixed in the current beta (Anki 24.10 beta2).
