Deck showing but no cards inside

So I’m using a booster prep and I downloaded a an Anki deck from their website and everything looks good as did the other ones that I downloaded but this one did not load any cards, just the deck presets and thats it. I redownloaded it, even installed the latest version of Anki just like the troubleshoot page said. I take my mcat in 2 weeks please help.

Just to be clear, after you downloaded it – did you import it?

Where are you looking that it is indicating to you that no notes/cards were imported?

Yes, I did import it and it shows. But when I go to the decks, its completely empty. Its very weird, maybe because it is 3000+ cards?

This is the part I’m asking about. It may sound like I’m asking a silly question, but knowing where you are looking is the difference between 2 possible things that could be happening here. Is it the Browse window, or the main Decks screen – or can you post a screenshot of where it “shows” and where it is “empty”?

The cards are there, as you can see in the Browse window. So I’ll assume the first screenshot – the Decks screen – is what you have a question about. You should definitely read Studying to get an overview of what you are seeing there.

The counters (blue, red, and green) on the Decks screen will show the umber of cards ready to be studied today, up to your daily limits. I can see from the parent deck that you have a daily New-card limit of 20 – and Anki will take those 20 cards from that top-level deck and its subdecks, based on your Display Order Deck Options, and the limits of those subdecks.

It’s hard to give you specific direction for how to get what you want when we don’t know what it is yet. Now that you know the cards aren’t missing, and you have a general sense of what is happening from the manual – let us know if you have more questions about how to get things set like you want.

I understand what you’re saying, the real problem is that once I close the freshly “imported files” window that shows the cards, it completely disappears once I try to access it once again. Like I said it just kinda disappears

Is that the deck you imported the cards into?

yes, it is

Let’s have another look at those notes/cards you showed in the screenshot above then, and see where they went. If you search for non-cyclic chloroplast – can you find that note/card again? Select it, then Cards > Info – can you post a screenshot of that?

No, not inside that deck. Browse is already showing you there are no cards in that deck. Now you’re trying to see where else they might be, so just search for the text on a note.
