Deck Override for Cloze note types

Hello,

I’m using the latest Anki version (26.05).

Basic note types have a convenient option “Deck Override”:

But Cloze note types don’t have it:

Is it a bug? Should I create a GitHub issue?

I don’t think that’s a bug. Deck Override is used for assigning separate card types to different decks. But Cloze note types only have one card type.

Yes. But all Cloze cards automatically go to the “Default” deck.

So, I should not forget to choose a correct deck in the “Add” dialog. I often forget do this.

Is it possible to specify another default deck for a Cloze card type?

Yes. Check what you have set for Preferences > Editing > Default deck – Preferences - Anki Manual .
