Custom study option ease of use

The Custom study feature is extremely powerful and could use a couple upgrades.

  1. The tag selection window is archaic, why not use the same window/tag selector style as is used in the regular card browser, with dropdowns and everything?
  2. There shouldn’t be a limit on the number of tags that can be selected for custom study option.That is unnecessary. There are huge decks out there with thousands of tags, and they would be much much easier to cover if the tag selector in custom study mode wasn’t so limited. Since we can’t even select parent tags, as all the child tags are for some reason displayed separately and not under a parent tag in the card browser.

Custom Study is one way to create a Filtered Deck – but it’s limited, and it sounds like you’ve outgrown it!

You should be able to get both of the things you want more easily by building your search filter in the Browse window – by typing manually and/or using the left sidebar tools – and then using Edit > Create Filtered Deck.
