Cursor stuck to top left (iPad, Magic Keyboard)

A few days ago my Ankimobile app began bugging out, with my cursor occasionally being “stuck” to any button found in the top left of the screen (usually the “back” or “?” buttons).

The top-left-most button will sometimes appear highlighted, despite me not hovering over it. Then, the cursor does not appear in the place it actually is, but rather at some point between the top left-most button, and where I am actually clicking. I am therefore unable to see where I am actually clicking, until I have clicked on a page.

It’s genuinely really debilitating while i’m trying to use anki to study.

That does seem very annoying! What it sounds like to me is some sort of Accessibility setting that has gotten turned on by accident, so check your OS settings for that.

Otherwise – What version of iPadOS are you using? Do you have the most updated version of AnkiMobile?

It does sound like you might have accidentally enabled the iOS Settings>Accessibility>Voiceover option - does it show as on? If not, does restarting your device help?

I’m on the most updated version of both! I haven’t changed any settings so this is really confusing me

Even if you didn’t intentionally turn on something in Accessibility, it’s still worth checking to make sure it’s not on inadvertently – as well as dae’s other suggestion.
