I just noticed that I get different answer button number in the normal Stats and shift-click Stats. And the shift-click version seems to give a much rosier picture of my learning.
The Learning section is identical: 3,934 presses total
The Young section is a little different: 2,872 (normal) vs 3,081 (shift-click)
The Mature section is very different: 256 (normal) vs 1050 (shift-click)
The percentages are also different:
The Learning section is identical: 90.62% not again
The Young section is a little different: 93.87% vs 94.29% (shift-click)
The Mature section is very different: 94.53% vs 98.67% (shift-click)
What exactly is going on?
I assume you didn’t select the identical time frame (e.g. 1 month or 1 year). My stats are identical in both.
Are your Shift-click Stats the built-in old-Anki Stats? Or do you have an add-on that is controlling that screen?
The obvious other difference between them is that the current Stats screen gets updates and the old Stats screen doesn’t. So anything that has changed in the app since 2020 (when the Stats screen was replaced in version 2.1.28) won’t be handled by the old screen.
I do have FSRS Helper installed. This is definitely over the same matching 1yr time period, and I’ve been making and using this deck less than a year. And the stats do seem to match for learning cards, but not the rest.
