Cloze deletion button disabled in a cloze card

Hi,

I created a copy of the cloze note type and added several additional fields. The note type is as follows:

After creating it, I imported a lot of cards with a TXT file with {{c1::[text]}} code in the first field (“Sentences”), and they were correctly imported as cloze deletion cards I could study on Anki. So far, so good.

However, now I’m trying to create new cloze deletion cards in that deck using that same note type, and the first field has a weird display, with the cloze deletion buttons on the editor locked or disabled:

Can anyone help, please? Thanks!

Found the source of the issue: I had the option “Use HTML editor by default” on. The field shows up normal if that option is disabled.
