My cloze deletions are not working, the front preview is completely blank and the back shows their type codes, eg: {{c1: photosynthesis}} rather than a blank. I have checked the edit section and the front template has: {{cloze:Text}}, while the back has: {{cloze:Text}} {{Back Extra}}. I’ve attached a picture below of how it looks like on my end. I’m not sure what else to do, thank you.
Even if the templates are correct, cloze deletion will only work within Anki’s cloze note type or a clone of it.
If you do use this note type or aren’t sure, maybe a screenshot of your template window will help to solve this.
Hi! Thank you for your help, I’m new to Anki so I’m not entirely sure how to check if I’m using a cloze note type. I’ve attached some pictures for reference.
This looks fine and is the correct note type.
Is the text visible in the back preview actually in the Text field? If it’s all in the Back Extra field, that would explain it.
