Cards with yellow background, questions disappearing when I view answers, and dark font on ipad

Hello all! I have been using anki for a while but am definitely no expert. I make my decks the same way (or so I thought/think) and have come across something really weird that has affected my entire 1800 deck:

1- My cards have a yellow background and when I press space to see the answer, the question itself will disappear. Again, I can see the question until I press to see the answer. This is extremely frustrating when I am answering something with a complex or long question stem, or even a long fill in the blank card. It also is doing this on my iPad version.

2- In one of my subdecks for this effected deck, some of the text in the answers is a very dark blue when I use my ipad. With the black background of the anki ipad app, I can barely see it. It does NOT do this on my CPU, just on my anki.

I have tried resynching and everything like that. I have no idea if this is some kind of “card type” deal and have never messed around with card types when making anki decks.

I hope somebody can figure this out because its driving me nuts!

Could you post your card templates content?
When reviewing one of your cards, click the Edit button at the bottom, then Cards and copy and post the text that appears on the left.
Click on the Back Template checkbox and copy the text that appears too.
Do the same for Styling.

Styling:
.card {

font-family: arial;

font-size: 20px;

text-align: center;

color: black;

background-color: wheat;

}

Put {{FrontSide}} at the top of your back template to keep the answer visible.

Regarding your second problem, do you use another note type for that subdeck? Because there is nothing in these templates that should cause that as far as I know.
Follow the steps I posted above when reviewing a card in that deck if that’s the case.

@abdo I honestly dont even know how to do that tbh :confused:

@abdo I was referring to the note type. I did the “front side” thing you suggested and it worked great! Thank you!
