I have the jacksparrow deck, which has many subdecks. For one of the subdecks (Biology Ch. 5), I unsuspended the cards (they were new) and wanted to study them but saw:
I made sure my new cards and review limits are set to 9999, and “new cards ignore review limit” is checked. Still didn’t work. So i made a filtered deck with all of the cards, finished that deck, and emptied it. Even AFTER EMPTYING IT back to the original deck, it still shows 0 cards (the first picture above)
despite the stats saying 130 of them are in learning:
When I browse the JS bio ch.5 deck, they’re all there and have a due date (as i reviewed them in the filtered deck), and they’re not buried, and i’ve clicked ‘check database’. So i don’t understand what the problem is. Please help!
Regardless of why the cards were not showing up on your deck list before, after you studied them in the Filtered deck, they definitely won’t show in the main deck as “due” – because they aren’t due until tomorrow. I don’t use the add-on that produces that particular stats chart – but it doesn’t seem to be telling you those cards are “in learning” – they are “Learned.” You introduced them as New and graduated them to Review – that’s why they show as “Young” above that, and have due dates of tomorrow in the Browse window.
Are you sure you were looking at the options for the Chapter 5 deck? It could be in a different options group from the parent deck and its sibling decks – Deck Options - Anki Manual . If you want to bring all of the subdecks into the same preset group as the parent deck, make sure you use “Save to all subdecks.”
It could be that one (or more) of the decks has a deck-specific limit that wouldn’t impact the other – Deck Options - Anki Manual .
Hi, the options were set for the the main JS deck and “Save to all subdecks.” is/was checked. I also configured this check independently for Ch. 5. It’s possible that I was looking at the wrong deck, but I tested it on a different deck (unsuspending the cards) and the same thing happened. Maybe I have to wait until tomorrow and see if they show up?
