Can't sync between mobile app and desktop

I’m trying to sync between my paid mobile app and my free desktop app. Whenever I press the sync button in my desktop app, it says “server aborted”. Could you tell me what the issue is?

No, I downloaded it from Microsoft Store. But I just tried again using your link. The same error occurs.

The app in the MS Store is very old and belongs to someone else – AnkiUniversal is not supported here - Anki FAQs .

You can’t “upgrade” from that app to our app, so if you’re still getting the same error, you’re still using their app.
