Anki Universal won't sync to AnkiWeb after online upgrade

When I try to sync my Anki Universal desktop app to Ankiweb, I get a “Server aborted.” error message.

Syncing is working just fine on my iOS app. I have the Anki Universal desktop app installed through the Microsoft store and am using Windows 10.

I’ve already checked to make sure this isn’t a firewall problem and also tried creating an environment variable per instructions I found online but these haven’t solved the problem.

Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know how to fix it?

Thank you for your reply! The strange thing is that up until yesterday, Anki Universal was working on my desktop and I wasn’t having any issues syncing. It wasn’t until I updated AnkiWeb on my browser that this error started to appear on the desktop app.

Does this mean that they’re no longer compatible?

I don’t know how that app works and can’t answer your question. As it says on the linked page, you’ll have to ask them, and maybe consider using the official Anki.
