I just installed Anki on windows. I am logged in to ankiweb on my cellphone. When I attempt to login to ankiweb on windows, the email field has a red icon once I enter my email address and password, and the login button is greyed out. Is there anything I can do? I could transfer decks and use the client without ankiweb, but that would be awful.
Maybe I could create a new account and hope I can login from my cellphone to upload decks.
Does that mean your logging to the desktop Anki program you have installed on Windows – Preferences > Syncing – or to the AnkiWeb site in a browser on Windows – https://ankiweb.net/ ?
What you’re seeing is often because the login and password fields haven’t yet recognized that they were filled with text. For instance if you use a password manager or have your credentials saved in your browser. Sometimes just clicking in each field is enough – or you might need to try clearing the cache and cookies for ankiweb.net in your browser and logging in again. You can also try an incognito/private browser window, or another browser.
