Cant get decks after 2.1.44 update

I tried to update to 2.1.44 on my Mac as the mobile version no longer syncs with the older anki. I initially will see my decks, then once I try to get back in i get a message that states that my collection or whatever cannot be synced or downloaded, and can’t even access the app. Ive gone back to older versions and deleted add-ons and nothing works. Also tried setting up a new profile, still nothing. So I am back to using an old version so I can at least use it, though now the mobile version is essentially separate.

Any thoughts?

It’s a bit hard to say what’s going on without the exact text of the error message - would you mind updating again and screenshoting or copying and pasting any error message you get?
