Why does apple text replacement not work in anki.
What’s apple text replacement feature?
You can set your own keyboard shortcuts in system preferences to replace the text you just wrote with something you set before.
Example:
3√ → ∛
when you type “3” + “√” and then space it gets replaced with ∛
or
.shake → 
.sun → 
They work everywhere I know of except anki.
How can I change that?
Could you elaborate of how you use that feature and steps on your issue? We can’t just fix an issue for you without any details.

It works on editing with cards, when using the suggestions tab on my keyboard. May I see your configuration on field replacements on your keyboard?
Of course. Here is a screenshot. In all other apps i just hit enter or space and it gets replaced except anki.
I’m able to do any text replacement using the editor with your configuration, and I can’t seem to make the issue you have. I don’t know about cloze deletion as I’m done with my reviews today.
I’m in iOS 16.6.1 and using 24.11

Hi Deranged. Nice. Thank you for your message. I tried it on iPhone as well and it worked too. I was not aware of the fact that it works on iPhone since I use my mac for card creation. But it doesn’t work on mac. Does it work for you on mac?

Thank you for replying back, it seems like you didn’t mention that you were using a Mac instead of an iOS device.
I’ll try my best if I could as I have an old MacOS machine that still works with Anki.
I’m afraid it’s an upstream issue.
