App and Web won't sync and Desktop won't import

I have thousands of cards on my Anki app (iphone) and have been desperately trying to get them on to Anki desktop. I am logged in on Anki web and nothing from my app shows us (app shows sync status as ‘just now’ and doesn’t give me an option to force another sync). I have downloaded Anki desktop and my account is logged in, and is synced with Anki web. I have tried to import my vocab files at xml files sent from my phone - it just imports 0 cards every time.

Feeling completely stuck and dissuaded! Just want to get my Anki app decks on my computer to work better.

Operating on Mac 10.15.7 and have Anki version Version ⁨24.06.3 (d678e393)⁩. Thank you in advance.

Are you using the regular Anki for mobile app on your phone or some third-party software that is not compatible with Anki?

If you are talking about “Anki app”, I’m sorry to tell you, but that’s a copycat app that is using Anki’s name to dupe customers – Anki knockoffs - Anki FAQs . If you want to sync with AnkiWeb, you’ll need to use the apps in the Anki ecosystem. You can find links to all of them at the same site where you downloaded your Anki 24.06.3 – https://apps.ankiweb.net/.
