AnkiWeb shared decks bug

Hi!

Problem

For some reason, AnkiWeb shows that I’ve shared 2148 items.
Most of the items don’t have a title and were shared on 2024-10-23.

Steps to the problem

I tried uploading https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/137961696:

  1. I edited the page HTML to let me input a longer deck title and list of tags.

  2. I entered the deck title “:de::tractor::us: A Frequency Dictionary of German [Audio files] [Deutsch - Englisch] [German - English]”.

  3. I used this description.

  4. In my account, I couldn’t go past the page “Share Status\nIn progress”.

  5. Later, I could view the list of my shared decks.

  6. I noticed that the number of shared decks grew.

  7. The growth stopped in several hours at ~2200 items.

Required actions

Please remove in my account all dummy duplicated items shared on 2024-10-23.

I’ll also try to remove them using Selenium.

Yes, that sure is what it looks like! I’m sure that @dae will be able to take care of this when he’s online again. But if this isn’t some fluke thing, and there’s a problem in AnkiWeb that needs fixing – I suspect he’ll be able to diagnose and fix the issue better if you don’t try to delete anything right now. So if you wouldn’t mind leaving it be until he has a chance to take a look, that would be great!

I’ve removed a couple of decks just to try whether they could be removed.

Okay, I’ll keep the rest until the problem is fixed.
