I’m an anki newbie. I have anking step deck and made subdecks for each block by pulling relevant cards that align w my lectures.
With that, I am trying to backfill some blocks I missed. My trouble is: I go to input text words/phrases (w correct formatting) in smart ai search, and I get 14 found cards and 8 selected cards, every single time. Is there something I have to do? I use my iPad.
additionally, my anking sub decks that I created all have only green numbers/cards and some decks have 0 cards and state “congrats, you have finished this deck” (that was months ago and it hasn’t reset). Any advice for that as well?

If a deck shows only due Review cards (green counter) and no New cards (blue counter), that usually means – (A) you’ve already introduced all of the available New cards in the deck, or (B) your daily limits are set in such a way that you aren’t introducing any New cards, or you don’t have room to introduce any more New cards.
If there are also no due Review cards, that usually means – (A) there are no Review cards due today, or again (B) your limits.
It may be helpful if you can share any pertinent screenshots, for reference. As well as what it is that you’re searching, in terms of ‘words/phrases (w correct formatting)’. Probably easier to help with a bit more context
You mentioned using your iPad, though the SmartSearch feature is not available on mobile devices, FWIW
My apologies for not being clear! I am on iPad, but using smart search online via ankihub. I’ll attach a photo of my results for “beta blocker”. It is the same regardless of how many terms I include.
