AnkiMobile not displaying images from Image Occlusion cards

Hello! I recently downloaded AnkiMobile to my iPad and iPhone so that I could study more effectively while commuting.

I have noticed that the Image Occlusion Enhanced cards that I made on desktop version will not sync to either device. Both the iPad and desktop report that sync is complete (an image on a Basic card did sync successfully). Based on another user’s post from September 2023, I have made sure to turn on “Synchronize audio and images too” in the sync preferences (on both desktop and receiving tablet). My desktop reports the sync as complete.

From the other user’s post in Sept 2023, an Anki helper mentioned that the user had deleted the bulk of their media from AnkiWeb, and they were able to restore the media. I am wondering if this is possible in my circumstance as well?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or support.

Do you have a reason to think you deleted your media from AnkiWeb? I think it’s more likely that your media sync hasn’t finished yet, and the images haven’t reached your iOS devices. See Media files may take time to sync - Anki FAQs and Cloud Sync - AnkiMobile Manual .

You can run Check Media on each install and see if there are differences in the number of missing files. If there are, sync again, and see if it improves.

Thank you! I was not giving the device running AnkiMobile enough time (with the screen on and not switching apps) to finish the sync. After giving it more time, my media has loaded.
