Anki selects new cards from only one deck

I have two decks with different content, one for studying Spanish and one for French. There are currently no subdecks. I study them at different times of day to reduce confusion from switching languages. In my list of decks the French deck appears first.

I don’t recall when this started, but I’ve noticed that I don’t see any new cards when I do my Spanish review. I do see new cards when I do French review.

I have tried making my daily limits (200 card review, 7 new cards/day) specific to each deck but that did not produce a change.

Is there a way, aside from separating the decks into different profiles, to permit presentation of new cards from both decks?

Are you sure you have any new cards left in your Spanish deck to begin with?

Thanks. I’m embarrassed to say I forgot to check that. So I guess the “solution” is to add more cards to the Spanish deck.
