I am having a serious issue with my anki as the time intervals I am selecting are not registering appropriately for example if I click easy for a card and it should reappear in 4 days the card come back in 1-3 minutes and I keep seeing it over and over and over multiple times in the day its exhausting. when I click 4 for easy and follow up by the letter I for info the card shows I put a rating of 2 or 3. I deleted my anki redownloaded the newest version and I still have the same constant issues. is there anyone that can help me please I’ve been the same exact cards for like 5 days straight now. thanks so much also my Mrs
That is most commonly an input problem. How are you entering your grades – mouse-clicking on the button (or screen-tapping in the mobile apps), keyboard shortcut (or swipe/gesture in the mobile apps), remote, or something else?
If this is happening when you’ve recorded the correct grade, it sounds like a sync conflict – which can happen when you make changes (or allow add-ons to make changes for you) on multiple unsynced devices at the same time. That has the potential to leave cards in an inconsistent state.

I have tried using both the computer itself and my Anki remote and it does the same thing regardless . What can I do please help

I gave you several possible input methods to choose from – but there’s not much I can do without more specifics. You’ll have to tell us how you’re entering grades with “the computer itself.”
As far as the remote, you’ll have to check the settings on that on your own.
I am putting in the keys using my MacBook air key board on the laptop
I press the number so for example if I want
Again - press 1
Hard - press 2
Good press -3
Easy -press 4
I dont have a sync problem as I only use anki on my laptop and no other devices.

Great. Then the first place to check list Preferences > Review to make sure those numbers are still associated with those grades.

Let’s cast a wide net to eliminate as many possibilities as we can think of. –

In
Preferences, re-type each of those Answer key numbers and Save. Try grading a card with each grade and check it right after. Do any of them record the correct grade? Which key records which grade? [Whenever I say to grade a card, be sure to Edit > Undo those fake grades after.] -
If you have any shortcut-related add-ons or display modifying add-ons, restart Anki in safe mode to disable those. Try grading a card with each grade the same as above.

When you click the on-screen buttons with your mouse, is the correct grade recorded?

Are you using a “conventional” keyboard layout? No remapped keys? Is it US-International or some other layout?

Are you using the number “row” or the number-pad on your keyboard (if you have one)? Have you tried using the other one?

Go to the Browse window and type those numbers (with those keys) in the search bar and/or in a field of a note. Do the right numbers appear?

- So apparently every key I hit whether it be number 1 2 3 or 4 - its rating the card as 1
Then I did it again and hit 1 just to see it rated the card as a 3-
2.i did the safe mode and still the same thing occurs I have no add ons

Can you sent a video of you grading a card using your mouse and then opening the card info for that card?

- Open a new profile.
- Create a single card via the card browser.
- Grade that card.
- Check the card info.

You have one add-on active. To test this, launch Anka without any add-ons. Simply hold down Shift at startup until a pop-up appears indicating add-ons are disabled. Then, use the same debug output to verify that the add-ons were disabled and there are no active ones. Then try again.

Well, sorry.
Let’s assume this isn’t an add-on.
Then you should replace 1, 2, 3, and 4 with some other keys and see if it works. Let’s say you could replace 1 with Q and 3 with W and try that. It’s possible you have some kind of glitch that’s counting all keystrokes as key 1… although I think you’ve checked your keyboard online and the keystrokes should be normal.

So, you are saying that the problem occurs even when you use the mouse and press the Again/Hard/Good/Easy buttons in the UI? Could you please try it again and confirm that this is the case?
If it is, then this is not a problem specific to keyboard keys or remote buttons, and I would recommend ignoring those aspects for now. Until the issue is resolved, continue to use the mouse to press the Again/Hard/Good/Easy buttons while you troubleshoot the issue. Do not use the keyboard keys, and do not use your remote.
I also recommend trying those steps that were suggested to you above to: create and use a new profile, create a single, new card, grade the card (using the mouse to press the Again/Hard/Good/Easy buttons), and then check the card info to see if the problem still occurs.
I also recommend disabling all add-ons for now, until you have finished troubleshooting the issue.

I have tried every thing today I’ve been at this for the past ten hours.
I even deleted anki completely and downloaded an older version and its still the same problem
Not sure if it’s some kind of issue with my MacBook itself or what
