ANKI import fails and ANKI crashes

Hi, I have this problem often when I open ANKI, the first thing I try to do is Import a file, before I can select a file, I see the file selection box and my cursor spins and is unresponsive. I am unable from that point to select the file that I wish to import. Then ANKI crashes. I tried rebooting, I tried holding down the shift key when I start ANKI. I have copied the debug info and the latest messages from the crash.log below. Thank you very much!

I tried renaming the prefs21.db file. It required me to recreate my user profiles, as it had reverted back to User 1. I added the user profiles back, and then tried to import, which then failed in the same manner as before. I will add that this problem is intermittent, but at the moment, of course not working.

Does it happen after you open a particular folder after renaming prefs21.db? Do you have third-party apps install that modify the file selector, such as Dropbox, 7zip or similar?

I installed the 32-bit version and have not had the problem occur again. I do use Dropbox. I don’t understand your other question. I do not get the opportunity to open a folder after renaming the prefs21.db file. It freezes up before I am able to select a file, then it crashes, within 5-10 seconds of doing File->Import.

Glad to hear the 32 bit version is working. I suspect it’s a bug in the toolkit, perhaps triggered by Dropbox or similar.
