Where can I actually find the strings actions-all-selected “All selected” and actions-any-selected “Any selected” in the user interface? What’s their role?
They’re apparently used here anki/qt/aqt/browser/sidebar/tree.py at c985acb9fe36d3651eb83cf4cfe44d046ec7458f · ankitects/anki · GitHub
but there’s nothing in my sidebar, not even fairly complex saved searches, where len(node)
> 1, so I can’t make them show up…
Possible bug? I think this condition needs to be updated, or i’m missing something
The pr introducing it (for reference): Add sidebar modes for different click behaviour by RumovZ · Pull Request #1044 · ankitects/anki · GitHub
My bad, til there’s a button to multi-select sidebar items
Thanks a lot. That’s enough for me to make a correct translation.
I’ve tested it in my local Anki 24.11, and there seems indeed to be some bugs. At least I get different results as you:
I’ve clicked on “First Review”, then with Shift (works also with Ctrl) and another click I tried so select additionally “Studied”. However, only “Studied” is highlighted now. Nevertheless, the condition in the filter changed to “introduced:1 OR rated:1”. That is strange.
And the “Search” button also not show the submenu for me either.
I think you need to click on “Select” (to the left of the toggle switch) for it to multi-select without immediately editing the current search
But you’re right, and til again, in search mode, ctrl seems to be ANDing and shift seems to be ORing
