About scam and refund

Dear Anki MOBILE flashcards.

I hope this message finds you well.

On May 10, 2026, I suddenly started receiving multiple consecutive payment notifications on my phone. The notifications continued until I unlinked the bank account associated with my WeChat Pay. In the end, eight payments of 168 CNY were successfully charged, and the ninth attempt was finally stopped.

Upon checking the payment details, I found that the charges were made to “Anki Mobile Flashcards” via the App Store. It appears that my previously used Apple ID was compromised in an account takeover scam, and the perpetrator used it to make these purchases.

I contacted both WeChat Pay and Apple regarding the issue. Apple advised me to request a refund directly from Anki Mobile Flashcards, which is why I am reaching out to you.

I have all the transaction details and supporting information ready.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could contact me regarding this matter.

I’m sorry this happened to you. And it’s especially unfortunate that Apple support has given you incorrect information. They know quite well that app developers don’t have access to any transaction or purchase information, or anything about Apple accounts – that’s Apple’s own policy. They are the only ones who can help you with this request. Hopefully when you contact them again, you’ll reach someone who knows what they are talking about.
