Your Anki client does not support the new timezone handling yet

Hi, whenever i try to synch my anki i keep getting the same error message ‘Your Anki client does not support the new timezone handling yet. Please ensure your Anki is up to date.’
I have the latest update available on my chromebook. I have the linux version
I was prompted by anki web to enable it to see my cards and now it wont let me synch either way.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Its a common problem among Chromebook users, make sure your Anki display this version in “About anki”, if not then it is prob the latest deb version which was 2.1.15
Version ⁨2.1.55 (01caec2a)⁩
Python 3.9.15 Qt 6.3.2 PyQt 6.3.1 (For Qt6)

If you are on a debian based distro, the repo seems to be out of date as it only installed version 2.1.15 while 2.1.49 (latest is now 2.1.55) is available and solves this problem. You can download the updated version here and then you should be able to sync across devices and avoid this error.

An easy way to make sure your app will be up to date on Chromebooks is installing via flatpack (if it is compatible)

Possible solution: Anki on chromeboook
